Denver Art Museum Quilts

We stopped by the Denver Art Museum while in Colorado a few weeks ago and were pleased to find a whole room filled with quilts! My favorite is the tied quilt made out of......neckties! Makes me want to go thrifting.

The last photo is a different sort of patchwork - the stained glass facade of a community church that we spotted after leaving the museum. I love the idea of translating various non-quilt imagery into quilt patterns. Wouldn't that stained glass make a beautiful quilt?
